Abstract

This project aims to design and develop StocktakeEase, a point-of-sale system developed for JayaMart Sdn. Bhd., Terengganu, which will overcome the significant problems inherent to almost all conventional inventory management systems: errors, inefficiencies, and inability to update stocks on the spot. StocktakeEase shall make inventories easier by fully automating processes, having full role-based user access, and comprehensive reporting for better decision-making. The system is built on a strong technology stack composed of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL-for scalability and reliability. Development will be informed by Agile methodology, biased toward iterative improvements and continuous feedback from stakeholders. Key deliverables from this project show how integrating automation and real-time information can greatly minimize human errors, optimize the level of stocks, and enhance general store performance. While StocktakeEase modernizes inventory management for JayaMart by providing an easy-to-use, user- friendly interface for workers and a host of advanced management tools for administrators, at the same time, it prepares the business enterprise for further growth. All in all, this system implementation goes to show how technology can make retail operations more accurate, efficient, and sustainably long-term.
